Furniture Recycling Services
One of the first things you will need to do when moving into an unfurnished or part-furnished property is to get the basic items of furniture and equipment (eg a bed, cooker, chairs, crockery, cutlery etc).
Depending on your financial circumstances, you may be entitled to a Social Fund payment from the Department of Works and Pension (DWP) to pay for the items you need. This payment can either be made through a Community Care Grant, a Budgeting Loan or Crisis Loan. Grants do not have to be paid back, but loans will be deducted from either your benefit or your wages.
